New wastewater treatment process turns alcohol waste into clean water and profits!
A new process called UASB + contact oxidation + SBR was used to treat alcohol wastewater with high concentration. The study found that with initial COD 42000mg, BOD5 21000mg/L, SS 9000mg/L, and temperature 60-70℃, the treated water had COD ≤300 mg/L, BOD5 ≤100mg/L, and SS ≤150mg/L, meeting sewage discharge standards. The process operated stably, effectively treating the wastewater and even recovering methane, leading to economic benefits.
