The chlorophyll content and photosynthetic rate in winter wheat leaves decrease under water stress, especially chlorophyll b. Both increase from jointing to booting stage, then decrease at milking stage. The correlation between chlorophyll content and photosynthetic rate is positive. Yield and economic coefficient of winter wheat decrease with strong water stress.
