A new technology for making hydrogen from coal gasification has been developed. By using outside heat, coal can be turned into hydrogen efficiently. The system can convert coal into hydrogen with a high efficiency of 96.3% in the gasification furnace and a thermal efficiency of 87.4%. This new method increases the amount of hydrogen produced from coal by about 25% compared to current technologies.
