Xi'an Faces Warming and Drying Trend Due to Climate Change.
The study analyzed climate change in Xi'an from 1951 to 2005. The results showed that Xi'an's temperature has been increasing, especially in winter, with a faster rate than the national average. Precipitation decreased overall, but winter precipitation increased. The study found a negative correlation between temperature and precipitation in most seasons, but a positive correlation in winter. Xi'an experienced the largest temperature increase compared to other cities in the region, with the smallest decrease in precipitation. The findings suggest that Xi'an, along with Baoji and Weinan, will likely continue to warm up and become drier in the coming years.
