Potassium fertilizer helps strong gluten wheat grow better. It makes the wheat plants taller, increases the length of the spikes, and makes each grain heavier. This results in a 10.2% to 24.8% increase in grain yield. The protein content and wet gluten content of the grains also improve with potassium application. However, the sedimentation value of the wheat grains does not change much with potassium fertilizer.
