Urban forest parks in Shanghai are becoming popular for recreation, offering more outdoor space. By studying the different jobs of city residents, researchers found that people have varying reasons for visiting these parks, how they find information, travel, choose activities, and their satisfaction levels. The study shows that residents in Shanghai have different but also similar preferences for forest recreation. To make urban forest parks more appealing, activities and services should be tailored to meet tourists' needs.
