Water supplement from mega project transforms agriculture and ecology in Haihe River Basin.
The researchers analyzed the surplus water supply from the South-to-North Water Transfer Project in the Haihe River Basin. They simulated water supply and demand to determine the feasibility of supplementing water for agriculture and ecology. The study found that there is potential to provide additional water for agriculture and ecology in the basin at the beginning of the project's water supply. However, certain issues need to be addressed for successful implementation.
