The study looked at how the land in the Poyang Lake region changed from 1985 to 2000. They used different measures to see how the land was used, like cultivated land, grass land, forest land, water area, built-up land, and unused land. The results showed that these land types started to come together instead of being spread out. Cultivated land turned into built-up land, forest land turned into grass land, and water areas turned into grass land. Overall, the land in the region became more organized and connected over time.
