A new type of medium indica hybrid rice called Tianyou 1120 was created by the Jiangsu Coastal Region Agricultural Research Institute. This rice has good grain quality, high and stable yield, strong disease resistance, and can grow well in different conditions. It was officially approved for production in Jiangsu Province in January 2008. The researchers introduced the breeding process, yield performance, characteristics, and tips for growing this hybrid successfully.
