Revolutionizing IVF: Half-ICSI boosts fertilization rates and embryo quality
The researchers wanted to find a better way to help patients who might have trouble getting pregnant through assisted reproduction. They split eggs from 107 couples in half and used two different methods to try to fertilize them. They found that the method called ICSI had a higher success rate than the other method, IVF. ICSI resulted in more high-quality embryos for transfer and better chances of pregnancy. Using a combination of both methods could reduce the risk of genetic problems in babies.
