Revolutionary Soil Testing Boosts Maize Yield and Cuts Costs Dramatically
The study compared using soil testing to determine fertilizer amounts for maize crops with traditional fertilization methods. The results showed that using soil testing led to a higher maize yield, with an increase of 65.3kg per 667m2 compared to traditional methods. Additionally, the NPK fertilizer utilization rate was higher with soil testing, showing increases of 9.40%, 3.08%, and 6.22% for different nutrients. This means that using soil testing for fertilizer application can improve maize yield, reduce costs, and increase the efficiency of fertilizer use.
