A new corn variety called Changdan46 was developed in 1998 by the Millet Institute of Shanxi Academy of Agricultural Science. It has shown a 9.5% increase in yield compared to another variety in trials conducted in Shanxi province. Changdan46 is resistant to common maize diseases in the region, has high kernel quality, and is adaptable to various growing conditions. It requires a specific amount of accumulated temperature to mature properly. Overall, it has demonstrated good drought resistance, fertility, and adaptability, leading to high yields in different environments.
