Boost Potato Production and Quality with Innovative Fertilization Techniques
Fertilizing potatoes with specific amounts of nitrogen, phosphate, and potassium can increase production, starch content, and quality. In Lishui, Zhejiang, adding 120 kg/hm2 of nitrogen, 80 kg/hm2 of phosphate, and 170 kg/hm2 of potassium improved potato growth. Varying the amounts of phosphate and potassium affected production levels, with the best results seen when both were increased together. The study found that a combination of N 120 kg/hm2, P2O5 80 kg/hm2, and K2O 170 kg/hm2 gave the highest yields.
