Optimized Coal Utilization Saves 10% Fuel, Slashes Soot by 60% in China
The scientists aimed to improve coal usage efficiency in China by developing a method to measure and use coal more effectively. They created mathematical models and optimized the process of dynamically measuring coal. By applying this method, they lowered the cost of coal measurement, resolved issues related to lower heat value when using low-sulfur coal, and enhanced coal combustion conditions. Using this new method, they could save 10% of coal, reduce soot emission by over 60%, and enhance both efficiency and environmental protection.
