Spectral Parameters Revolutionize Cotton Growth Monitoring for Increased Yields.
Researchers conducted field experiments to monitor cotton growth using hyperspectral parameters. They found strong correlations between spectral reflectance and biomass and leaf area index (LAI). NDVI(890,670) and Height(920) were highly correlated with LAI and biomass. Models were established to estimate cotton growth using these parameters, with high determination coefficients and low root mean square errors. The results show that spectral parameters can effectively track changes in cotton growth throughout its growth stages.
