Human activities in China seriously damaging coastal wetlands, urgent action needed.
Coastal wetlands in China are important for the environment and ecology, but human activities have seriously damaged them. Oil exploration, vegetation loss, habitat destruction, and pollution are major threats. Progress has been made in studying and protecting these wetlands, but more efforts are needed. Suggestions include classifying resources, effective development, creating demonstration sites, reducing pollution, raising public awareness, and strengthening research and international cooperation. Protection laws are also crucial for managing and safeguarding coastal wetlands.
