The study analyzed temperature changes in Xilinhot City from 1953 to 2009. They found that both mean maximum and mean minimum temperatures have been increasing, with mean minimum temperature rising faster. The warming trend became more pronounced in the 1990s. Fluctuations were observed over 50, 30, and 18-year periods. While the mean maximum temperature showed no clear stages or mutations, the mean minimum temperature displayed three distinct stages, with 1987 being a significant mutation year.
