Groundwater in the Yangtze River Basin has a lot of potential for development, but it's not fully utilized yet. By analyzing the amount of groundwater available and how it's currently being used, we can see that there are environmental and geological problems in some areas, like ground settlement and sea water intrusion. To make sure we use groundwater in a sustainable way, we need to come up with better ways to develop and protect it.
