In this study, experts explored a new way to turn coal into gas for power generation, called Integral Coal Gasification Combination Cycle (IGCC). They compared three different coal gasification technologies: fixed bed, fluidized bed, and gas flow bed, to see how they work in IGCC. The goal was to find the best way to make power efficiently while being kind to the environment. By analyzing data from big IGCC projects around the world, they suggested the most effective method for coal gasification in large power plants.
