A new maize variety called Keyuanyu No.6 was developed to have high yield, quality, and resistance to diseases. In trials, Keyuanyu No.6 produced 8.7% more yield than the control variety, with an average yield of 7,960 kg/ha and a maximum yield of 10,570 kg/ha. This new variety is resistant to common corn diseases and has large, heavy ears with high protein and lysine content.
