The study looked at city planning, construction, layout, and architectural ideology in various dynasties. The culture in West Zhou cities showcased rites and music culture, while Qin Dynasty displayed unification spirit. Han Dynasty's Chang'an culture integrated earlier theories with creativity. Sui and Tang Dynasties' Chang'an culture showed an opening-up orientation in its multi-phase cultures.
