Rocky desertification is a big problem in Southwest China, especially in areas like Guizhou and Guangxi. The main causes are the type of rock in the area, farming practices, and population pressure. The natural environment and human activities both play a role in making the land turn into rock desert. The researchers suggest eight ways to stop this from happening.
