The study analyzed how population distribution changed in the middle and southern Liaoning urban area since the 1990s. They used population data and GIS technology to see how populations shifted over time. The results showed that population quantities varied between cities, with higher density in the west and along transportation routes. The population became more concentrated and centralized over the years, with the center of gravity moving southwest. This analysis helps understand where populations are growing and why.
