Co-composting wheat straw and dairy waste boosts nutrient-rich soil production.
The experiment tested mixing wheat straw with dairy waste to make compost. Different mixtures were tried, and the results showed that mixing wheat straw with dairy manure or biogas residues is best for making compost. This mixture had the highest levels of nutrients and stayed hot for a long time, meeting composting standards. Mixing with biogas slurry or dairy slurry is cheaper but not as effective.
