Revolutionary Watershed Control Measures Slash Sediment Pollution in Northern China
The study looked at different ways to control runoff and sediment in rocky areas of northern China. They tested different soil and water conservation methods during different types of rainfall. Results showed that using level terraces was the most effective method, and combining vegetation with engineering measures also worked well. They found that using engineering measures at the start of planting vegetation helped the environment recover. Gully head protection measures were successful in preventing erosion.
