A new solar system was created that combines photovoltaic and thermovoltaic technologies to generate electricity more efficiently. By using heat from the sun to lower the temperature of solar panels, this system produces more power than traditional solar panels alone. Tests in Beijing showed that this hybrid system can generate 5% to 15% more electricity per unit area compared to regular solar panels.
