The study looked at extreme rainfall in Liaoning Province from 1961 to 2005. They found that extreme rainfall can be divided into three areas: western mountains, eastern mountains, and near-coastal areas. In areas with more rainfall, extreme rainfall events were also more intense. Extreme rainfall had the biggest changes in summer and the smallest changes in winter. The number of extreme rainfall days didn't change much each season. Overall, extreme rainfall didn't change much over the long term.
