The article focuses on improving water-saving surface irrigation in a canal irrigation region. Researchers analyzed the current water-saving technology in a specific irrigation area and identified a method called three changes of furrow irrigation as the best choice for this region. By combining and refining existing techniques, they aim to increase irrigation efficiency, improve water distribution evenness, decrease water usage, and ultimately achieve water conservation goals in the Baojixia area of China's Shaanxi Guanzhong region.
