New Study Reveals How Panax Notoginseng Leaves Adapt to Changing Light
The researchers studied how photosynthesis changes throughout the day in Panax notoginseng leaves. They found that one-year-old leaves need less light than two-year-old leaves. One-year-old leaves had a midday drop in photosynthesis due to factors other than stomata. The main factors affecting photosynthesis were internal CO2 levels, light, and air CO2 levels.
