Water quality in rural Zhucheng city puts residents at risk, study finds.
The researchers investigated the water quality of rural drinking water safety in Zhucheng city. They collected and tested water samples from 33 sites during dry and wet seasons. Overall, 58.3% of the samples met drinking water standards. The water quality was better in the dry season (72.7%) compared to the wet season (50%). Bacterial contamination was higher in the wet season. No samples exceeded toxicology limits. Different sterilization methods affected water quality. The study suggests improving daily supervision of water sources to ensure safe drinking water for rural areas.
