Soil pH levels linked to salinity content, impacting crop growth.
The study looked at how the pH level of soil in Shenyang is affected by its salt content. They found that as the salt content decreases, the pH level of the soil increases. Different ions in the soil, like K+ and certain anions, have a negative relationship with pH, while other cations have a positive relationship. As the soil is leached more times, the proportion of certain ions decreases, leading to an increase in pH.
