Optimizing Nitrogen Fertilizer and Planting Density Boosts Rape Yield and Profits
The study looked at how different amounts of nitrogen fertilizer and planting density affect the yield and economic benefits of mechanical direct seeded rape. The best combination for high yield and economic benefits was found to be using 15kg of nitrogen fertilizer per 667m2 and planting 20,000 plants per 667m2. This combination helped the rape plants grow well in the field. The researchers also found specific equations that show how yield is influenced by nitrogen rate and planting density.
