Cajanus cajan(L.) Millspaugh, a plant from India, was studied in a dry-hot valley in China. It showed strong resistance to heat and drought, growing well in degraded mountain lands. The plant's growth potential was even better in the new environment compared to its original one. However, it stopped photosynthesis at temperatures above 37℃. Overall, Cajanus cajan(L.) Millspaugh is well-suited to the dry-hot valley's eco-environment and can help control degraded mountain lands.
