The study analyzed different types of sediment layers in Niuxintuo reservoir of Niuxintuo oilfield. By studying core samples and well logging data, researchers identified 18 distinct sedimentary facies in the area. They found that sandy and sandy rudaceous distributary channels of the fan delta front are the most favorable areas for sandbodies.
