Bird species diversity in Fujian Province linked to logarithmic distribution patterns.
The researchers studied bird species in a nature reserve in Fujian Province. They used different patterns to see how common the birds were. They found that some patterns, like the log series and log normal distributions, worked well to describe bird diversity. But other patterns, like the geometric series and broken stick model, didn't work. The graphs showed the log series distribution was effective. In hilly areas, the bird abundance didn't follow the log series distribution. Overall, the study showed which patterns are best for understanding bird populations in the area.
