The study analyzed fertilizer use for cereal crops in Anhui from 2005 to 2014. Results showed an increase in total fertilizer consumption, with nitrogen and compound fertilizer use rising significantly. However, phosphate fertilizer use decreased. The study found that there is potential to save nitrogen fertilizer for crops in Anhui, with a calculated saving of 152,073 tons in 2013. To ensure sustainable agriculture, balanced fertilization tailored to each crop's needs is recommended.
