Cultural criticism in China has brought a fresh perspective to literary criticism since the 1990s. It offers new ways of thinking that stem from real-world and academic needs, pushing literary criticism to evolve. However, cultural criticism's impact on literary criticism is limited because it overlooks many issues, leading critics to question its effectiveness and writers to pay little attention to it.
