Sulphuric acid plant reduces harmful emissions, improves air quality standards.
The Taiyuan Iron & Steel plant designed and operated a sulphuric acid plant to clean off-gas from sintering machines. They used a process involving activated carbon adsorption and various cleaning sections to remove harmful impurities and produce high-quality sulphuric acid. After more than a year of operation, both plants met design targets with low SO2 concentrations in the tail gas and high-quality sulphuric acid production.
