The study analyzed land use changes in a mining area to support sustainable land resource use. Using satellite images from 1990, 2005, and 2013, researchers found that mining land significantly increased over the years. The study showed that land use dynamics were higher from 2005 to 2013 compared to 1990 to 2005, with mining land showing the most variability. Policies related to the mining industry, ecological protection, and arable land protection were identified as major drivers of land use change in the area.
