Debate on Economic Balance: From Imbalance to Balance and Back!
In the 1950s and 1960s, Chinese economic thinkers had different ideas about balance in socialist development. Some believed in yearly balance for moderate growth, while others thought imbalance was necessary for progress. These contrasting views led to different outcomes. In today's market economy, the debate between balance and imbalance doesn't matter much. But looking back, the success of economic projects is the best way to judge the two approaches to balance.
