Ethnic identity vs. national identity: China's path to unity and stability.
The article discusses how in countries with multiple ethnic groups, conflicts can arise between ethnic and national identities. When the interests of a specific ethnic group clash with the interests of the nation as a whole, the ethnic group's national identity may weaken or disappear. This can harm the unity, stability, and development of the country. To address this issue, the paper suggests transitioning from ethnic identity to national identity. By identifying and addressing factors that hinder national identity, the authors propose new ways to strengthen Chinese national identity.
