The Beidaihe beach is facing erosion, but it has good conditions for nourishment. Sandbars parallel to the coast and sediments from the Yanghe river can be used for nourishment. The coast experiences strong waves in certain directions and tidal currents that affect sediment transport. To protect the beach, it is recommended to use beach nourishment along with artificial headlands and offshore submerged breakwaters.
