Optimizing Nitrogen Fertilizer Boosts Early Rice Yields for Farmers.
The study looked at how different amounts and ways of applying nitrogen fertilizer affect the yield of early rice planted using machines. They found that the best yield was achieved with 195.3 kg/hm2 of nitrogen fertilizer. By adjusting the timing and ratio of fertilizer applications, they discovered that increasing the amount of tillering fertilizer can boost the yield of mechanically-transplanted early rice. Specifically, using a ratio of basal fertilizer∶tillering fertilizer∶earing fertilizer=4∶5∶1 or 5∶4∶1 with 180 kg/hm2 of nitrogen fertilizer led to better yields.
