Optimal potassium fertilizer levels boost yield and quality of tobacco crops.
The study looked at how different levels of potassium fertilizer affect the growth and quality of flue-cured tobacco when combined with nitrogen and phosphorus fertilizers. The best results were seen when using a ratio of 1 part nitrogen, 1 part phosphorus, and 2 parts potassium. This combination led to better plant growth, higher leaf and dry matter weights, increased yield, and improved quality of the tobacco.
