Flooded Cities Beware: New Simulation Tech Promises Dry Streets
The study used a computer model to help reduce flooding in cities during heavy storms. The model simulates how water flows through sewer systems and calculates where flooding is likely to happen. By using this model, engineers can figure out the best way to improve drainage systems and prevent flooding. The model was successfully used to improve drainage in Shenyang city, showing that it can be a useful tool for managing urban flooding.
