Banana farmers save water, boost yields with drip and micro-sprinkler irrigation.
The study compared different ways of watering banana plants to see which method helped them grow best. They tried five methods: traditional flooding, percolated tape, drip tape, micro-sprinkler, and drip irrigation. The results showed that drip and micro-sprinkler methods saved a lot of water, more than 69%, and increased the yield of bananas by 5.6% to 15.6%.
