New Adder Design Boosts Speed of Cryptography Systems Significantly
A new fast adder was created to speed up adding large numbers in cryptography systems. By dividing numbers into groups and using carry lookahead, the delay in adding is reduced. The adder predicts carries between groups to finish adding different carry states. The final result is chosen based on the carry state. Tests show that this adder is faster when adding 1,024-bit numbers.
