Optimal potassium application boosts maize yield and soil fertility efficiency.
The study looked at how different amounts of potassium fertilizer affected maize growth and yield in soils with different fertilities. They found that using specific doses of potassium led to the highest maize yields in both high and low fertility soils. Applying potassium fertilizer improved maize growth and potassium absorption rates. The optimal potassium doses for high and low fertility soils were determined to be 75 kg/ha and 103 kg/ha, respectively. This research shows that proper potassium application can increase maize yield and nutrient efficiency in different soil conditions.
