Optimizing Rice Growth: Higher Yields, Lower Nitrogen, Better Environment.
The study looked at how different planting densities and nitrogen fertilizer levels affect the growth and yield of a hybrid rice variety. They found that the number of grains per panicle was more affected by planting density, while nitrogen fertilizer had a bigger impact on panicle number and grain weight. Excessive nitrogen reduced seed-setting rate and grain weight. The best results were seen with medium nitrogen levels, lower planting density, and high seedling numbers. This led to better nitrogen uptake and transfer to the panicle, resulting in higher yields.
