The article discusses a method to safely extract coal in a high-gas area in Huainan Mining Area. By using boreholes and other techniques, they were able to release gas pressure and drain gas effectively. This led to a significant reduction in gas explosion accidents and deaths, as well as turning high-gas seams into low-gas seams. The gas drained could also be used as green energy, reducing air pollution.
